Jackson And Spielberg Tintin Movie Auditions Begin

The Tintin Movie Auditions Begin In Earnest

Auditions are now under way for the upcoming Tintin movie being created by Peter Jackson and Steven Spielberg. The are both major and supporting roles in the Tintn movie to be won by both budding and established movie stars The main roles up for grabs in this first round of auditions are to be for the nearly (their moustaches are different) indistinguishable detective Thomson and Thompson.

All in all there are apparently 16 characters that they are casting for at the moment. Jackson and Spielberg will be directing one Tintin movie each. Spielberg will film in Los AnglesThompson&Thomson.png whilst Jackson will be based in Wellington, New Zealand. There is no news yet of which of the Tintin comic adventure book will be the first to be tackled for the big screen. There are 23 albums in total to choose from.

We though at letininmovie.com have been able to put together a good guess of which album it maybe. We have studied the audition list and this does provide hints if the list itself is accurate.

The list includes Lieutenant Delacourt and the soldier Ahmed who both appear in the The Crab with the Golden Claw, which is set in the Sahara. This seems even more likely to be the first Tintin movie because it is the first album to feature the hard-drinking Captain Haddock (he is a very popular character and a Tintin move with this character present would translate better to the big screen).

Other characters on the audition list include pirate Red Rackham, smugglers Max and Gerontium Bird, Tintin's landlady Mrs Finch, thepicstoppic.jpg mysterious Sakharine and pickpocket Aristides Silk - who feature in The Secret of the Unicorn and its sequel, Red Rackham's Treasure.

Spielberg recently said the Tintin movies would be shot completely with motion-capture technology similar to that used in The Lord of the Rings and King Kong. Wellington visual effects studio Weta Digital is considered to be at the forefront of using the technology for computer-generated effects best known on its use with Andy Serkis the actor who played Gollum.

We will keep our ears to the ground and bring you the latest news first.
