Simon Pegg New Tintin Movie Link

Simon Pegg who was initially linked with the role of Tintin in the upcoming Spielberg/Jackson Tintin movie collaboration which later proved false now is back in the frame to work on this project. Pegg who at the moment is promoting his new movie How to Lose Friends and Alienate People learnt after just having finished work on the film that he had a call saying Steven Spielberg wanted to meet him.

This led to Simon Pegg meeting the director on the set of the first Tintin movie. The first movie in a trilogy of Tintin films; of the meeting Pegg said.

“Steven’s smoking a stogy, cap on head, like he’s always been since I was a baby,” Pegg says, shaking his head in wonder. “I shook his hand and chatted about films. He gave me the mo-cap [motion-capture] camera, and I had a play around with it. Then he said, ‘Hey, maybe you and Nick Frost could play the Thompson Twins.’ In Tintin. A Spielberg movie. To work with him is beyond .. . ” He trails off, lost for words.

Nick Frost and Simon Pegg have worked together on a number of projects which have been highly successful for the pair which has led to much adulation in Britain for the pair with the movies “Hot Fuzz” and “Shaun of the Dead” being cult films. These two projects led to the attention of Hollywood and now Simon Pegg finds himself in demand and being offered many American backed projects.

Nick Frost and Simon Pegg have great chemistry on screen and seem to have a connection that allows them to sometimes just go with the flow and this leads to great moments of cinema that were not as originally as scripted. If they do get the chance to work on the Tintin movie trilogy; Simon Pegg and Nick Frost would add both colour and their unique humour to what is already seems to be a great project.
