Is Kirsten Myburgh Going To Play Tintin in Tintin Movie?

I still don't have 100% definite proof that Kirsten Myburgh is going to play Tintin in the new Tintin Movie. I have been trying everywhere to get a positive yes or no. I am sorry but I have tried everything. In will let you know when I have something more concrete. As I reported after a tip-off the IMDB database lists Kirsten Myburgh as the actor to play Tintin which would suggest that it is most likely true.

It would be nice though to get a definite answer from someone involved in the project. If anybody knows more please let me know. As for the James Cameron debate I have had several emails claiming that that Cameron it too involved in other projects to be able to make the new Tintin Film. Well all I can say is yes he maybe involved in the new Avatar movie but according to Andy Serkis who is to play Captain Haddock James Cameron was definitely on set and in control when filming started recently.

As for Kirsten Myburgh I looked around to see if I could find out more about him and there isn’t much information that I can find out about the guy. If he really is to play Tintin then he it will definitely be a huge break for him as the roles he had so far are very small. I managed to put this together after searching around. All I can say tough is that he dos seem a bit old as Tintin is supposed te be around 15 years old at 18 at a push. Although with the technology and animation that the Weta Workshop has developed for the new Tintin Movie would be able to get round this problem.

As I say I will look into this development further and as ever try and bring you more news as it happens. I have though a new rumour to follow up on that the first film is to be from the album Secret of the Unicorn which was in the NY Times online. I will try and find out  more about this too.
