Tintin Movie – Thomas Sangster The First Casualty

The Tintin movie trilogy is still under scrutiny. The whole saga over the Tintin movie and its finances is fast becoming a calamity that could come directly out of a Tintin album. The Peter Jackson and Steven Spielberg project has been delayed due to an untidy split between Universal pictures and Paramount who were due to co-finance the Tintin project to the tune of US$135 million.

It trying to overcome the financial mess it appears that Paramount could be happy to back the whole project independently but under the condition that Spielberg and Jackson reducethomas_sangster.jpg their take in the Tintin Movie project.

One casualty in this whole saga is Thomas Sangster who had been heavily rumoured to be the young man to play the main role of the Belgium boy detective who it now is believed has withdrawn from the project.

It is believed Thomas Sangster’s decision was based on the delay to the start of production that was supposed of have started this month.

The only other cast member confirmed in the Tintin movie project was Andy Serkis as Captain Haddock but my source www.stuff.co.nz doesn’t know whether Serkis is still involved which wasn’t confirmed or denied by those involved in the project.

We at www.letintinmovie.com will bring you more on this saga as we here it.
