Secret of the Unicorn and Red Rackham’ Treasure For The First Tintin Movie

News had reached letintintimovie.com that 3 news in New Zealand has reported that the first Tintin move will be based on Secret of the Unicorn and Red Rackham’ Treasure which we speculated here would be the source of the first Tintin Move.

Secret of the Unicorn and Red Rackham’ Treasure are considered even by their creator Herge to be the best books out of the 23 written about the beloved Belgium boy detective. There are still though some problems with this news as the cast list included characters from The Crab with the Golden Claw. Then there is the rumour that Eric Stolz has been picked to play Dr. Krospell who only appears in Flight 714.

The idea of using these two albums as the basis of the first Tintin movie seems like a great idea because they feature two of the most recognised characters created by Herge in Professor Calculus and also the lovable Captain Haddock who has Marlinspike manor by the end of the adventure.
